How much of the book is the truth?

Names and locations were changed to protect the privacy of Catie’s family, but everything else is the truth.

Why did Catie write the book?

When Catie was going through this experience, she couldn’t find a single book that gave her hope of a promising future for her son. After making a promise to God,  she decided to write this book for other family members and caregivers facing a similar situation, to help inspire and give hope.

How is Bryant doing today? 

Bryant has made a full recovery from his injuries. He is happily married and is expecting his second child in the winter of 2012.

How is Catie doing today?

Catie is in a much better place today than she ever has been. Writing the book was very difficult for Catie, but it overall was a healing process and helped her move forward with her life. With 4 grandsons here and two more grandchildren due in the winter of 2012, Catie is enjoying life and time with her family.

Focusing on wellness, instead of illness, Catie has successfully reached her goal weight and has naturally controlled her blood pressure without the means of medicine. Her marriage is thriving and she is looking forward to making a difference in the lives of others.

Where can we go to get more information on dealing with traumatic injuries and the recovery and healing process?
