Dear Catie,
I have your book sitting next to me here on the sofa. I am about to start reading and intend to select it for my book club, I have an enormous favor to ask. In the 18 years I have been in a book club, it has been my dream to have an author be part of our discussion group. I’m sure you get requests all the time, but I feel like I have to at least try since you are a fellow Cincinnatian.
I also have a more personal motive. My little six year old grand daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was almost 2 years old. Our family experienced a similar journey to the one you went through, so selfishly, I would love to meet you and hear you share parts of your story in person.
I would be so grateful if you would consider coming to our group. We meet for dinner monthly at bronte’s at Joseph-Beth bookstore. We will probably meet in late October/early
November. We could change time or place though to accommodate your schedule. If you could consider it, please let me know, we would be so grateful! We are a group of special
ed. staff and have been friends for years, probably in your age range, so I think you would find us a fun group!,!!!!L. Thanks so much for thinking about it. Gayle Howard

Gayle,
I have been so busy with my son’s wedding and a vacation afterwords, I am not sure if I set a date. I am excited to meet with your book club.
Catie
I loved this book. It was so REAL; full of raw emotion. I couldn’t put it down. You brought us right into your heart, mind and soul to take us on the journey with you. Thank you for sharing this piece, this season of your life with us/me. I feel like I gained so many valuable insights and lessons I can’t list them all here. Thank you.
Hi Catie, I am a friend of Carolyn Cobb. She gave us each a signed edition of your book that we recently read and greatly enjoyed as a book club selection. I am writing you to tell you that the ladies at the Book Shelf in Madeira would be willing to put your book in their shop. I work next door to their shop and they very much feature local authors! Take some copies in and tell them I sent you! Sally
Sally, Thank you so much for going the extra mile. I will give them a call to day and see when I can drop the books off. You rock. Give my best to Carolyn.

Hello Catie,
I’m one of the National Representatives for the P.A.Hutchison,Co. As I’m sure you’re aware we printed your book. I recieved a copy copy for a sample and before I could get it to my client, my wife had her nose deep into your book. Just wanted to let you know that she loved it! I can’t wait to read it….the printing and binding looked pretty good too. ;?)
John, Thanks for you nice comments. It is hard to promote a self-published book but your beautiful book makes it much easier, thank you for your professionalism.
Thank you! Please keep us in mind when you publish your next book. ;?)
So, my wife and I are at a friend’s house for dinner. The women are talking and our friend said, “i just finished reading this great book. Would you like to read it?” My wife asked what it was about. Friend relates some of the story. I start asking questions. She finally gets the book. I start connecting the dots. I see your smile and stout out, “I know this women!” Congratulations! Can’t wait to read it.
Sil, that is so funny….great to hear that people are talking about it . Did you download a copy or are you going to order one? Can’t wait to hear your reaction to the story. I wrote it in present tense. The journey had such an impact on me, that I wanted my readers to discover things, just as I did. God had the perfect plan in all of this, I am simply the conduit for his story. If you were a woman I would tell you to get a box of tissues, some chocolate, or wine, sit back and prepare for an awesome journey, as a man….well probably the same thing. Hugs.
Sil, Have you read our book yet??? Good to know people are talking.
